
Synopsis
In the heart of Kakuma Refugee Camp, young Linda receives her late mother Yara’s diary a gift that unravels a painful past kept hidden by her protective grandmother. As Linda reads, she discovers Yara’s story: a brutal assault, a community’s rejection, and the courageous decision to raise the child conceived through violence. Through vivid flashbacks, we witness Yara’s resilience, her love, and the ultimate sacrifice she made to give Lina a future.
Struggling with sorrow and betrayal, Linda confronts the silence that shaped her life. But as she connects with her mother’s voice, she finds strength, purpose, and a deeper understanding of her own identity. By the end, Linda vows to honor Yara’s memory, turning her pain into power and transforming the diary into a symbol of hope, survival, and a daughter’s love.

He serves as a media trainer at STMP Learning Center, where he equips young children and girls with digital literacy and filmmaking skills, empowering them to share their own stories and shape their futures.
