OngeaAi is a podcast that explores the adoption and use of Artificial Intelligence (Ai) in Africa with a
view to understanding how Africans -and particularly Kenyans- perceive the technology and how it will
affect the continent. Through a series of conversations with different professionals from a range of
sectors the podcast aims to; shed light on the opportunities and threats Ai presents to the continent,
showcase how different professionals are already using the technology, and help its audience get a
better understanding of what Ai is and how to navigate and leverage the Ai revolution.
Season 1 lays the foundation for the podcast by examining what Ai is and how prepared Africa and is for
the technology. It then explores the impacts of Ai on the creative community in Africa through a series
of conversations with representatives from the film, literary, music, graphic design and gaming
industries. Future seasons will explore how Ai is affecting other sectors, projects and case studies from
across the continent and examine a variety of Ai-related issues and how they may (or may not) play out
in the African context.
