Synopsis
In a world that refuses to see or listen, a nameless artist speaks.

The First and Last Message is a 4-minute experimental video artwork—a visual letter written to oneself and to all those silently fighting to survive as humans, as artists, and as Sudanese. Blending poetic narration, fragmented collage, and raw VHS textures, the piece moves through memory, identity, and the emotional burdens of creation in exile.

This is not just art. It is survival.
A quiet scream in a loud world.
A moment of breath when nothing else makes sense.

About
Hadi Bakhit is a Sudanese visual artist, filmmaker, and creative director based in Alexandria, Egypt. At just 20 years old, his work bridges experimental video art, collage aesthetics, and socially driven narratives rooted in identity, displacement, and emotional resilience.

Working across photography, design, and moving image, Hadi creates deeply personal and politically resonant works that speak to collective pain and unheard voices—often using minimal tools like an iPhone and Adobe After Effects. His style combines VHS textures, analog nostalgia, and surreal collage to create layered emotional experiences that blur the line between memory and present struggle.

Hadi is also the founder of two cultural initiatives that aim to elevate Sudanese art and empower emerging artists from conflict-affected regions. Through his artistic voice, he insists on visibility in a world that often looks away.
